SPAD Introduces MyTeksi, Taxi Monger To Enhance Efficiency
Of Taxi Drivers.
KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) - The Public Land Transport
Commission (SPAD) has introduced the use of technology using the MyTeksi and
Taxi Monger applications to enhance efficiency of taxi drivers, the Dewan
Negara was told on Tuesday.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Ahmad
Maslan, said the MyTeksi and Taxi Monger applications were introduced to make
it easier for the public to make bookings.
MyTeksi and Taxi Monger are smartphone applications, hence
enabling the public to make taxi bookings through their smartphones, he said in
response to question from Senator Datuk Pau Chiong Ung.
Pau wanted to know efforts being made by SPAD to improve the
image of taxi drivers in the city.
Ahmad said the two applications would also enable taxi
drivers to locate passengers nearest to their locations, as well as the
intended destinations with ease.
