Perak

Perak Darul Ridzuan

Perak means 'silver' in Malay language, was so named because of the rich tin deposits (with its silvery white colour) found in the state. Perak 'Kinta Valley' once had the world's richest tin deposits. It is also noted as the state that started the rubber industry in Malaysia.


Characterized by a steep history and rich cultural heritage, Perak also offers an ensemble of natural beauty in its lakes, caves and coastal regions.

2012 is 'Visit Perak Year' and the state tourism has many activities and promotions for visitors.
