Melaka
Melaka (Malacca) state is a cradle of Malaysia's history, the state remains steeped historical landmarks and cultural traditions. As an important trading post in the Far East in the early days, Melaka attracted traders from far and wide and their descendents of Portuguese, Chittys, Dutch, Chinese and Indians - now form and intriguing and charming cultural diversity. Many historical characters and hsitoric buildings have added a lot of colour to Melaka.
Melaka also has been acknowledged as a 'World Heritage City' (together with Pulau Pinang) and it has maintain its historical site while the state is also developing and becoming a modern city.
