20 new planes for Firefly.

FLEET EXPANSION: The airline will now have five flights daily, from Subang to Johor Baru

JOHOR BARU: FIREFLY will add seven more weekly flights between Subang and Johor Baru beginning Feb 4 this year. This will increase the number of flights on this route to five per day. Previously the budget airline had 28 weekly flights plying this route. The additional flights were made possible as the airline had recently acquired 20 new ATR 72-600 aircraft.

Firefly's expansion plans for this year, is following an agreement between its parent company Malaysia Airlines and ATR, the French-Italian aircraft manufacturer. To celebrate the fleet expansion and the additional flights and to coincide with the festive season, Firefly is offering special flights starting from RM35 for its domestic and regional destinations.

Bookings start from Jan 14 to 27, 2013, for travel between Jan 21 to March 29 2014. Passengers are urged to book their flights early to enjoy this limited offer. Tickets can be purchased from Firefly's website, mobile application, airport and city ticketing offices, call-centre and through travel agents.
